Arriving
Directions
From Charlottesville — Twenty minutes. Take Route 22 east through Keswick; at the hunt country store, bear left onto Ridgemont Lane. The oak allée begins at the second rise. There is no sign. There has never been a sign.
From Richmond — One hour. Interstate 64 west to Exit 136, then Route 15 north to Route 22 west. The lane appears on the right four miles past the Keswick Hall gates.
From Washington — Two hours and a quarter, kindly driven. Route 29 south to Charlottesville, then as above. Members arriving by air use Charlottesville-Albemarle (CHO), fifteen minutes west; the club's car meets it with an hour's notice.
The gatehouse notes every arrival for the office. First-time guests are asked for the name of their host and are waved through with directions to the forecourt.
A General Note
Write to the Club Office
For anything that is not a membership inquiry — the events office, the cellar, a question of custom — the Club Office keeps the book.
Prospective members are asked instead to use the membership inquiry, which reaches Mrs. Prescott directly. Members with standing matters should ring the office; the telephone is answered by a person until five-thirty.
Thank you, {{name}}.
Your note has been entered in the Club Office book and will be answered within two business days. If the matter is pressing, the telephone — (434) 555-0182 — is answered by a person until half past five.
